Senior High School (S.H.S)

Admission Requirements (SHS 1)

  • BECE aggregate not more than 18 for direct admission.
  • For aggregates from 19 to 24, the average performance in Mathematics, English & Science in the Entrance Exams., should not be less than 50%.

 

NB: Admissions into SHS 1 and SHS 2, on transfer basis, can also be gained based on the availability of vacancies and performance in an Entrance Examinations.

NB: The school’s policy does not allow any admission into SHS 3 (final year).

Required External Examination

The SHS final year students (SHS 3) are required at the end of the SHS cycle to write a West African Examinations Council organized examination called: West African Senior School Certificate Examinations (WASSCE).

GLIS offers five programmes: Science, Business, General Arts, Visual Arts and Home Economics from SHS 1.
**All students take core Islamic Religious Studies and Arabic for the first two years of their stay in the school.
