Techbooth Ghana held the maiden edition of the Techbooth Challenge, on the 12th and 13 of July, 2019 at the University of Ghana Business School. This year’s maiden edition was done in conjunction with the SAGE Ghana National High School Entrepreneurship Competition and it saw about 28 teams participating. The students in the various teams, battled against each other to be given the chance to have a month-long training in IT in India.
The awards ceremony was held at the Silver Star Towers on 29th November, 2019. The following teams were awarded. Girl Power from Ghana Lebanon Islamic School won the Girls In Tech category with a cash prize of GHC 1,000. Other winners include, Law Ghana from St. Lwanga JHS, Determiners from Armed Forces SHTS and JabenSoft from Presbyterian Boys’ SHS.
The Judges for the Techbooth Challenge were CEO and CTO of Techbooth Ghana, Mr. Benjamin Sedem Afetornu and Ebenezer Joen Ellis respectively, CEO of Aurora 360, Kwasi Okrah and representatives from Code Train. Awards were presented by the CEO of Techbooth Ghana, Mr. Benjamin Sedem Afetornu and the CEO of Code train, Mr. Richard Brandit. Techbooth Challenge organized by SAGE Ghana is a Techbooth’s Social Initiative which aims to advance technological ingenuity aimed at making the world a better place. Techbooth Technologies Limited is an I.T firm that offers the latest I.T Solutions in artificial intelligence, robotics, internet of things, augmented and virtual realities.
