Admission Requirements (JHS 1)

- Age : from 13 years
- Academic performance: Not less than entrance exam: An average score of 50% or better for English & Mathematics in the Entrance Examination.
NB: Admission into JHS 2, on transfer basis, can also be gained based on the availability of vacancies and performance in an Entrance Examinations.
NB: Applicants who could not pass the entrance exams for JHS 1 would be advised to do a year’s remedial course in Primary six.
NB: The school’s policy does not allow any admission into JHS 3 (final year)


Required External Examination
JHS 3 (final year) students are required to write a West African Examination Council organized exams called Basic Education Certificate Examinations (BECE) around April every year.
A good pass in the BECE is the requirement for admission into Senior High Schools in Ghana.
